daily from April thru October and weekends in November. You must
be at least 4'10" to ride.

for the phone number.
Fishing
Native brook trout provide a challenge to those who are willing to hike to
streams in the park.
Fishing is permitted with a Virginia license, which can be purchased at
most wayside facilities and camp stores in the park. An annual listing of
streams open to fishing is available at visitor contact stations.
For more information, see
Flystream.com.
Fall Foliage
Fall is one of the busiest times in the park, when campgrounds and lodges are
most likely to fill up. The reason for this is the spectacular fall colors
you can see along skyline drive. October is the best time
to see the leaves, but peak color usually lasts only a few days.
Firearms
Hunting or discharging any kind of weapon is prohibited. Firearms must be
unloaded and cased at all times within the park.
Protected Features
All Park features are protected. Do not deface or remove any natural or
historic features. Do not pick wildflowers or other plants, kill, capture
feed, or molest wildlife.
